Pupils need to comprehend the question and highlight the key text and numerical values that have been given.
STEP 2
Visualisation
Create a model using bars to represent the problem and then decide the steps to take to solve the question.
STEP 3
Calculation
The final step is to decide which calculations are needed to solve the problem.
