Job Description

**Can level up or down depending on experience but the midpoint is $155k for this position**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply systems engineering methodologies to support development, verification, delivery, and operations of complex systems and subsystems.
  • Ensure proper requirements allocation, traceability, and verification throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee subsystem integration and lead system testing, including the development of test plans and procedures in collaboration with the Project Engineer.
  • Support major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) by preparing key documentation and presentations.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to facilitate requirements traceability and interface development.
  • Conduct technical assessments and provide data-driven recommendations to improve system performance.
  • Lead Interface Control Document (ICD) development and documentation.
  • Drive design improvements to enhance system reliability, availability, maintainability, and commonality.
  • Manage verification and validation (V&V) documentation to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and contract boundaries to achieve program objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) regulations when operating within defense environments.
  • Support engineering proposals to align business objectives with customer needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in systems installation, integration, and testing within the defense industry.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance (existing clearance preferred).
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented leader with the ability to dive deep into technical challenges when needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as Cameo Requirements Modeler, SysML, DOORS, MATLAB.
  • Expertise in RF systems, radar, antennas, and military standards is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20%, depending on project phase.
