Job Description

Must Haves:

  • Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist License
  • 5+ years of experience in the Environmental field
  • Can be either industrial hygiene, phase 1 and 2's, soils, lead, asbestos, paint, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Indianapolis market (has spent 3+ years doing environmental work in this market)
  • Environmental Engineering, Geology or related BS degree

Pluses:

Job Description:

Insight Global's client in the Environmental Consulting space is looking to add an Environmental Project Manager to their Indianapolis team. As a Project Manager, this person will oversee a diverse portfolio of environmental consulting projects, with a strong emphasis on advanced environmental work including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), contaminated soil investigations, and assessments for asbestos, lead-based paint, and industrial hygiene. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Indy office, managing a team of three full-time employees and one part-time staff member, including a Professional Geologist and experienced Phase I/II specialists. This role will include supervising staff, ensuring project quality and regulatory compliance, and maintaining departmental financials including profit and loss oversight. A key part of the responsibilities will involve client communication—approximately 20–30% of the time—building and nurturing relationships with developers and commercial property clients, especially those involved in property acquisitions and redevelopment projects such as strip malls and warehouse construction. You’ll also collaborate with a strong local business development team, contribute to strategic growth, and act as a problem-solver for operational challenges, ensuring smooth project execution and team cohesion.
