Ascension Medical Group is looking for a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team covering Ascension Franklin and Ascension St. Francis Hospitals and clinics.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Medical Group to provide medical services to patients.

• Specialty: Cardiology
• Subspecialty Interest: Non-Invasive Cardiologist
• Schedule: 1.0 FTE. Alternating one-week hospital (Rounding on in patients. Stresses / Echoes, do consults) and one-week clinic.
• Call Schedule: 1:3 to 1:5
• Practice Detail: Join a well-established Cardiology practice consisting of a great collegial team that boasts longevity and a dedicated Cardiac floor with one fully functioning Cath Lab, 2 Diagnostic Labs, and full-service Interventional Cardiology .
• EMR System: Epic
• Facility: Ascension Franklin Hospital and St. Francis Hospital
• Location: Franklin and St. Francis, Wisconsin
• This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Population (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

Position Highlights:

• Acute cardiac patient population
• Echo, stress, nuclear and EKG reads.
• Cardiac TEEs
• 4 APPs who also support weekend call coverage
• Need to be proficient in performing and reading regular and nuclear stress tests and echo-cardiograms.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommends, participates in and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on the needs of patients, medical staff, and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials promptly.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
