Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly competent and seasoned Chief Building Engineer to oversee the upkeep and restoration of our premier Class A properties. This position entails leading a team of three engineers while maintaining top-tier property conditions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in two languages and adept at performing a wide range of maintenance and repair duties.

Core Responsibilities:

• Direct all maintenance and repair operations across two Class A buildings.
• Lead and mentor a team of three engineers, offering direction and assistance.
• Verify the optimal performance of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Perform routine assessments to pinpoint and resolve maintenance issues.
• Establish and execute preventative maintenance plans and protocols.
• Address maintenance requests and emergencies with quick response times.
• Keep detailed logs of all maintenance tasks and repairs conducted.
• Collaborate with external service providers and contractors when necessary.
• Uphold adherence to safety regulations and building codes.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated background as a Building Engineer or comparable role managing Class A properties.
• In-depth expertise in building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations.
• Exceptional problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Required bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
• Proven leadership and team oversight capabilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously and juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
