Title: Associate Electrical Engineer

Location : Mankato, MN

Duration : fulltime - direct hire

Salary : $60,000 to $90,000 - yearly + benefits

Position Summary

• We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop custom electrical and control solutions. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to transition orders from concept to production, and also supports sustaining engineering for existing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical components and systems, including:
• Generator set control systems
• Wiring harnesses and electrical diagrams
• Electronic engine systems, voltage regulators, transformers, heaters, motor controls, and protective devices
• Low and medium voltage switchgear, including paralleling systems
• Collaborate with Applications, Mechanical Engineering, and Sales to define and meet customer requirements
• Create electrical schematics for custom solutions
• Evaluate and apply appropriate design concepts and technologies
• Ensure compliance with standard engineering principles and practices
• Adhere to ERP and quality system procedures
• Follow applicable safety and environmental guidelines
• Participate in special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent (4+ years of relevant experience)
• Proficiency with AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Electrical, and MS Office
• Knowledge of programmable logic devices and programming

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in service and/or testing environments
• Strong analytical skills for complex problem-solving
• Ability to read and interpret line, ladder, and point-to-point diagrams
• Familiarity with diesel and gas engines
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand customer specifications
• Confident in delivering technical presentations
