Location: NYC, NY (onsite)

Duration: 6 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, during Normal Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours

Summary

This is a mid-senior level UX Researcher role ideal for someone with strong research methodology expertise, comfort with hands-on execution (e.g., Qualtrics, interviews), and a collaborative mindset. The role supports strategic decisions related to product and marketing on Google’s iOS experiences, with emphasis on both rigor and clarity in communication.

Project Purpose

• Evaluate Google features on iOS, particularly in relation to feature rollouts and marketing efforts.
• Research outcomes will directly inform product messaging and marketing strategies.

Role Responsibilities

This UX researcher will lead and conduct research to:

• Understand user perception of features and messaging.
• Inform marketing and product decisions using user insights.

Top 3 Daily Tasks

Design and implement studies:

• Semi-structured interviews
• Usability tests
• Surveys

Execute studies:

• Program surveys using Qualtrics
• Conduct user interviews

Analyze and report findings:

• Synthesize data
• Present insights using slide decks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

4+ years in a UX or applied research setting

Proficiency in:

• Qualtrics
• Basic statistical techniques
• Research methods: usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.

Strong ability to:

• Work independently and in cross-functional teams
• Communicate insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

Experience leading end-to-end UX research programs

Familiarity with:

• Google products
• iOS ecosystem

Broader research toolkit including:

• Concept testing, diary studies, focus groups, literature reviews

Personal traits:

• Self-driven, detail-oriented, creative, team-oriented
