Supplier Quality Engineer - Pageland, SC

Summary: The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will have direct responsibility for the quality of incoming components and finished goods. By communicating directly with our suppliers, the SQE will ensure quality standards are communicated and met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Track supplier metrics including quality and financial measurements.
• Effectively communicate quality defect detection methods and standards to suppliers.
• Track and identify deviations and initiate sustainable corrective actions.
• When necessary, provide training on the use of root cause, corrective action tools such as 5-why and 8D.
• Travel to supplier sites to conduct audits, communicate standards, and assist with corrective actions.

Qualifications / Skills:

• A four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a technical field is required.
• Prior experience in the field of supplier quality is required.
• Must communicate effectively with the ability to delegate assignments.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet development.
• Proven use of quality measurement tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and other electronic measurement tools.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing setting is needed.
