Staff Accountant

Key Functions
Provide comprehensive support to accounting leadership across all departmental activities.
Manage tracking and reporting for fixed assets and construction-related inventory.
Assist with accounts receivable and payable processes across a portfolio of properties.
Coordinate accurate tenant billing for recurring charges and reimbursable expenses.
Conduct periodic reconciliations for tenant accounts.
Monitor regular vendor reports to identify and address outstanding payables.
Investigate account variances, review ledger activity, and prepare necessary adjustments.
Contribute to balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, fixed assets, and other assigned schedules.
Support year-end financial reviews, audits, and tax documentation.
Develop and review annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts.
Q ualifications & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
Background in real estate accounting is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with ERP accounting software is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with property managers, construction teams, vendors, tenants, and other stakeholders.
Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with a proactive work ethic.
Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Resourcefulness in researching information and resolving issues.
Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement and innovation.
