We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Analyst, Sales & Use Tax , you will be trusted to support tax audits, tax inquiries, and special projects at Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Respond to sales/use tax related inquiries from customers, vendors, and other departments (i.e. Finance, AP, AR, Procurement, etc.).
• Review sales/use tax on purchases to ensure correct amount of tax was paid or accrued. Identify opportunities for refunds.
• Conduct research on sales/use tax matters, including taxation of products for sale.
• Support compliance process by preparing workbooks and supplemental documentation for third party outsourced team.
• Exemption certificate maintenance including reviewing requests, issuing certificates and updating Vertex O to reflect customer exemption and documentation changes.
• Prepare various monthly tax reconciliations.
• Support Manager in effective resolution of sales and use tax audits and/or refunds.
• Support Manager with property tax accruals and compliance requests.
• Assist with special projects as designated by the Associate Director and/or Manager.
• Operate in a matrix organization collaborating with global team members in multiple areas under the Finance, Compliance, Information Technology, and Business Continuity pillars.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs).
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred qualifications:

• CPA or CMI preferred
• 2 years or more of sales/use/property tax experience preferred
• SAP and Vertex O experience preferred
• Diverse experience including industry knowledge of life sciences, medical device, and pharmaceuticals
