SENIOR DESIGNER

Sunrise Brands, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Designer for a contemporary brand.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Designer will be a key role based 5 days a week in our New York Office. This position will report to the CEO.

COLLABORATES CLOSELY WITH:

Production/Product Development Team

Merchandising & Sales

Technical Design Team

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

 Conduct regular trend and market research

 Present trend reports and mood boards to support season concepts and product direction

 Help to create the development of the line, including: designing all product and sketching by hand, CADing print and color for line sheet, maintaining line sheets, and creating full tech packs (technical sketches, construction details, BOMs, & development specs) in PLM system

 Oversee the sourcing and approval of all fabrics, including allocating color and fabric to styles at proto and SMS stage

 Oversee the approval of lab dips, strike offs, and knit downs

 Create trim and artwork layouts when needed

 Work closely with overseas partners to ensure best quality design and finishing is achieved at a price point

 Manage the fitting process and provide feedback to ensure the best fit and finish for all products  Evaluate proto samples and effectively communicate fit and construction changes to factory

 Ensure all design files and seasonal documentation are organized and up to date at all times

 Track and manage proto and SMS samples to ensure deadlines are met

 Assist in preparing and presenting during internal and external design reviews

REQUIREMENTS:

 7+ years design experience in apparel design, contemporary background preferred

 Exceptional project management skills, with a high level of attention to detail

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively

 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

 Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes

 Understanding of designing into specific price points  Strong illustrative and flat sketching skills  Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop  Centric knowledge is a plus
