Nuclear & Radiation Detection Internship – Berkeley Nucleonics (San Rafael, CA)
15–20 hours/week • On-site • Start January 15th, 2026 • Paid Internship
Berkeley Nucleonics is looking for a motivated intern to support Scionix scintillation detectors, Medusa Radiometrics soil-gamma systems, and our radiation detection product line (SAM 940/950, SPRDs, SAMpack 120).
This role combines customer interaction, business development, and technical exposure to high-performance detectors used in national security, environmental science, and research. You will not be repairing or building hardware—your focus is customer-facing support, applications insight, and technical coordination. You should feel comfortable using modern AI tools (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, or Grok) to assist with research, writing, and workflow efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Assist customers in selecting Scionix and Medusa detector solutions
Support sales outreach, quoting, and lead follow-up
Work with real nuclear instrumentation and spectroscopy tools
Help run webinars, demos, and technical content
Support front-desk duties and coordination with our sales and engineering team
Ideal For
