Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Assignment Length: 26 Weeks

Pay Rate: $26 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant for a 26-week assignment at an outpatient facility in Flushing, NY . The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working in family practice or outpatient settings, and proficiency with EPIC or Athena EMR . Korean-speaking candidates are highly preferred due to patient population needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and room patients; take vital signs , height/weight , and patient intake
• Process lab specimens and assist with basic clinical procedures
• Support physicians and nurses with daily patient care
• Accurately document patient information in EPIC or Athena EMR systems
• Maintain clean and organized clinical areas
• Provide culturally competent care, especially for Korean-speaking patients (if applicable)

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program (Required)
• Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA, AMT-RMA) (Preferred)
• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant (Preferred)
• Experience in an outpatient or family practice setting (Preferred)
• Korean language proficiency (Highly Preferred)
• Experience with EMR systems – Epic or Athena (Required)
• Specimen processing experience (Preferred)
