Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for their climate controlled facility near Eagan MN (South St. Paul area). The Supervisor will have 15-18 Direct Report Operators and be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the production area. This will include assisting that the safety, quality, and production metrics are met & in alignment with the organizational strategy. This shift is 3am - 3pm working 4 days on & 4 days off. This is a fantastic company with an amazing people centric culture boasting low levels of turnover. The current Supervisor is assuming a different position within the facility.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Effectively Mentor, coach, and oversee the work of the team to meet safety, operational, and quality needs.
• Input in establishing goals and metrics in alignment of organizational strategy and effectively communicates to team
• Administer established policies and procedures and provide input for change as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with other organizational areas including but not limited to, Quality, Safety, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Maintenance and Product Development departments
• Ability to determine needs, solve problems and effectively report on issues
• Assist in ensuring inventory and staffing levels meet demand
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of flexible packaging manufacturing process experience, with comprehensive knowledge of the products, principles and concepts
• 3+ Years of Supervisor / Line Leader Experience in Manufacturing
• Leadership experience with the ability to also work as a team
• Ability to perform moderately complex problem analysis & Mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of Plastics or Paper conversion production processes
• Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
