Job Description

General Job Description:

The primary role of the Managing Principal Broker is to lead with impact at the center of our Central Oregon hub- the region’s #1 market share brokerage! This position is all about building strong relationships with our Advisors, supporting them in their daily business, ensuring compliance, sharing best practices, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office. You will also serve as the go-to local contact for the company, keeping our teams connected and moving forward.

In addition, this role oversees the entire Central Oregon region, acting as both a resource and a leader for advisors and sales managers while directly managing our Bend and Sisters offices. It is a hands-on position that blends office management with regional leadership, helping us protect and grow our market-leading position.

Managing Principal Brokers provide business planning and guidance, coach advisors on ways to strengthen performance, and offer training opportunities- including accredited continuing education that fulfills licensing requirements and raises the bar on professional standards.

While you will be assigned to specific offices for daily operations, the goal is always bigger: to serve as a trusted resource and counselor for every Advisor across the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Onboarding/Offboarding Activities for Advisors:

• Assist with advisor recruitment by providing leads to the company recruiter and conducting interviews as directed.

• Collaborate with the recruiter to facilitate the introduction of prospective new advisors to the company, arranging an introductory meeting prior to their start date to discuss company culture, commission structures, assess mutual fit, and delve into the advisor’s business goals.

• Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing advisors.

• Upon advisor joining the company, meet with each new advisor to explain sales meeting schedules, present welcome gifts to include a handwritten note, and introduce them at their first sales meeting.

• Schedule a follow-up meeting for new advisors in two weeks, aiming to facilitate a seamless transition.

• Ensure newly affiliated advisors are trained on brokerage-sponsored platforms. Provide intensive support to newly licensed advisors during the initial stages of their real estate practice.

Broker Support and Development:

• Provide strategic business guidance and feedback to advisors regarding their performance and productivity.

• Actively promote and uphold a culture of excellence within the organization, encouraging high ethical standards, professionalism, and dedication to client satisfaction.

• Conduct regular training sessions to promote best practices (accredited continuing education courses to fulfill licensing requirements where applicable) and offer insightful guidance to advisors to optimize their performance and productivity.

• Conduct business planning and review sessions with individual advisors, reaching out annually (at minimum) to each advisor and proactively engage more frequently when necessary.

• Monitor advisors production and connectivity with the brokerage, offering business coaching and support as needed.

Office Meetings and Communication:

• Host regularly scheduled sales meetings to bring value, promote industry awareness, company culture, and professionalism.

• Communicate with the marketing team to develop marketing and media calendars to promote the office during events.

• Provide leadership, support, and coordination for advisors and sales managers across the Central Oregon Region, ensuring alignment with company goals and consistency in management practices.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Support marketing efforts to create opportunities for advisors to promote themselves within the community.

• Represent CHSIR at local MLS Tours (especially if it is a broker in your office) to promote culture and teamwork.

Managerial Duties and Financial Oversight:

• Monitor advisors for significant life events such as births or surgeries. Send well wishes via email and coordinate appropriate gestures like gifts or flowers as needed.

• Assist with routine office operations, including maintenance and supply stocking, while working within the office budget.

• Daily review Skyslope for all closings in your office. Ensure all documents required are present; reach out to the agent for missing documents or, if all documents are present, move to archive.

• Promote and advocate for ancillary services within your office. If the manager is a selling manager, the expectation is to promote, use and support the company's ancillary services on transactions.

• Review office financials and KPIs with the COO on a monthly basis.

• Assist with broker file review when additional coverage is needed.

• Navigate internal and external conflicts involving CHSIR advisors.

• Attend regular onsite and offsite leadership meetings as required.

• Ensure all expense reports are submitted in accordance with company policy.
