Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Location: Gary, IN

Salary: $40 Hourly rate

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our client's organization in the Gary, IN area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems including motors, controls, and scales.
• Test and monitor electrical systems and components to locate and correct breakdowns.
• Ensure work adheres to NEC requirements and maintain service and repair records (including MSHA documentation).
• Follow blueprints to determine wiring and equipment locations, ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.
• Respond safely and appropriately to routine and emergency repair calls.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in safety and compliance programs.

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience and 4,000 hours of on-the-job electrical maintenance training.
• Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, and computerized electrical maintenance management systems.
• Proficient in inspecting, identifying, and maintaining electrical distribution systems (12 to 5K volts).
• Must pass the Ramsay Journeyman Electrician exam.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
