As a key member of our litigation team, the Litigation Paralegal plays a vital role in supporting our attorneys through various stages of case management and trials. Main Objectives:

The Litigation Paralegal will provide paralegal services for client cases which reach litigation status.

  1. Client Contact: Timely answer and return all client calls.
  2. Case Development: Timely actions regarding litigation cases.
  3. File Documentation: Immediately document all available data in the case file. If it is not in the file, it did not happen.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accurately draft Petitions, Answers, Discovery, Motions, Demands, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Prepare cases for the litigation process, ensuring all deadlines, hearing, depositions, mediations, and trial dates are accurately scheduled and updated in the calendar.
  • File appropriate documents with courts and serve opposing parties.
  • Assist Litigation Attorney with case management and trial as needed.
  • Consistently communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and mediators.
  • Sort, scan, rename, save and distribute litigation mail and faxes.
  • Audit cases for all expenses (medical bills, case expenses, LOP providers, subrogation liens).
  • Accurately maintain case management data in Salesforce (case management database).
  • Trial preparation, including documentation, trial logistics, and trial attendance (may require some travel).

Meetings:

  • Team Huddles (Daily)
  • Firm Huddle (Weekly)
  • 1:1 with Litigation Attorney (Weekly)
  • 45/90 and Annual performance reviews with Litigation Attorney

Personnel:

  • Reports directly to Litigation Attorney

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Personal Injury Law.
  • A strong foundation in Personal Injury Litigation support, with experience in preparing cases for trial.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills are required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management with the ability to handle a high volume of work and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.

  • Full-Time
  • Monday thru Friday (8-hour shift)
