Responsibilities

Lead Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems like security alarms, fire alarms, and network wiring. They interpret blueprints, ensure compliance with codes, and provide customer support. Additionally, they troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage systems. Must possess good leadership skills, and manage projects solo, or as a team as big as 4-6 other techs. 

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of low voltage systems and wiring.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Customer Service Skills: Effective communication and customer service abilities.
• Physical Skills: Dexterity, ability to work in confined spaces, aerial lifts and climb ladders. Must be able to carry ladders, boxes of cabling, and other tasks as needed.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand tools, test equipment, and power tools.
• Proficient with standard office skills such as Microsoft, Excel, and basic navigation of programs.
• Organizational skills, Professionalism, and cleanliness is a must.
• Ability to travel. Some projects will require overnights, up to 4 nights a week, but travel to home ratio fluctuates. Home each night more often that not currently.
• Clean driving record, for at least 3yrs.
• Pass background checks, as we do work in some sensitive areas.
