Vaco is hiring for an Inventory Clerk

Location - Pacific, MO
Compensation - $20-$23/hour
Summary:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across five plant locations. This role ensures timely and precise processing of inventory transactions, resolves discrepancies with vendors and customers, and supports the overall efficiency of inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory discrepancies to support efficient ordering processes
Ensure accurate freight-in costs are charged by vendors
Receive products into the system, document discrepancies, and follow up with vendors for resolution
Process inventory adjustments and pricing changes
Record and track transactions of products between plants, ensuring proper communication and documentation
Match invoices to receivers and post inventory receipts/invoices into the back-office system
Manage a daily volume of 10-15 load paperwork, each with multi-line items (approximately 50 items per load)
Create proof of coverage (POC) and perform inventory cross-checks against system records
Communicate and resolve discrepancies or price variances with vendors and internal teams
Handle customer and vendor interactions professionally and efficiently
Respond promptly to customer requests
Ensure all inventory transactions are processed timely and accurately

Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Solid computer proficiency
Effective time and task management skills
Experience in inventory, distribution, or warehouse environments preferred
Familiarity with software such as SAGE or PDI is a plus but not required (training available)
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
