AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking for a Service Craftsman to join our Customer Experience Team in Four Oaks. The position is responsible for servicing our customers by assessing damages and repairing proficiently with appropriate methods of repair for case goods, leather, marble, and upholstery according to departmental standards.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

  • Delivering world class customer service while assessing and repairing furniture in the customer’s home
  • Assessing damages and choosing appropriate methods of repair for wood furniture, leather, fabric, marble and upholstery
  • Working comfortably with hands
  • Displaying an aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic and/or carpentry services
  • Service-oriented, friendly, and helpful attitude with the intention of satisfying the customer 100% while exercising good judgment and strong problem-solving skills
  • Keep accurate records of work performed to assist in statistical record keeping
  • Always demonstrate high level of attention to detail and professionalism
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and work ethic

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Previous experience working with wood, leather, marble, fabric, and upholstery.
  • Ability to color matching & blend
  • Experience with wood repairs including burn-ins & wood graining
  • Experience with leather repairs including scuffs, holes, and tears
  • Experience with upholstery repairs, including structural/mechanism replacements
  • Strong cognitive skills required; including the ability to learn quickly, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously and be highly productive without needing much supervision
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of basic computer navigation, including data entry and internet navigation
  • Knowledge of smartphone usage (i.e. taking photos, emailing, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Clean driving record with a valid drivers' license
  • High School diploma or equivalent

WORKPLACE ENVIROMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

  • This role is a work from home position after training is completed onsite
  • Occasional onsite team meetings
  • Employees must arrange an appropriate workspace that ensures their productivity. Must be able to take participate in virtual meetings, on-camera, and calls with minimal distraction
  • Physical requirements such as extended periods of sitting, standing, and moving
