Role Title: IIoT Full Stack / Ignition Developer

Location: Evansville, IN | Indianapolis, IN | Louisville, KY …need only locals (50% remote and 50% at the client site)

Leveraging technologies such as Ignition , HiveMQ , TimescaleDB , Kubernetes , and GitHub Actions , our solutions empower real-time data insights and operational excellence across industrial environments.

We are seeking a Senior IIoT Full Stack / Ignition Developer to join our innovative team. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Owner , you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing edge computing solutions that drive Industry 4.0 transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications on the Ignition SCADA platform.
• Create and optimize features using HiveMQ (MQTT), TimescaleDB, and edge data systems.
• Develop intuitive front-end interfaces using HTML , CSS , and Java for industrial dashboards.
• Implement robust backend services using Python and Java to support edge data processing and system integrations.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes .
• Build and automate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions .
• Integrate industrial protocols such as MQTT , OPC UA , and third-party APIs.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and high performance for time-series data operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges in industrial settings.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development.
• 3+ years working in IIoT, SCADA, or edge computing environments.
• Deep knowledge of Ignition (SCADA development, scripting).
• Expertise in HiveMQ , TimescaleDB , Python , and Java .
• Proficiency in HTML , CSS , and Java for UI/UX development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GitHub Actions .
• Strong understanding of MQTT , OPC UA , and/or Modbus .
• Strong analytical and debugging skills in industrial environments.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing systems or Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT , Azure IoT , or similar.
• Understanding of IIoT security best practices.
• Active GitHub portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
