Contracts & Human Resources Specialist

Location: Bedford, MA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Pay Rate: $40 - $43/hour

Duration: 6-month contract with a possibility of extension

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in legal contracts to join our Human Resources team. This role is a unique blend of legal administration, procurement, and HR support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of agency agreements and supporting procurement activities to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and maintain all exclusive, non-exclusive, and temporary staffing agreements.
• Conduct initial legal review of contract language (e.g., indemnification, liability, confidentiality) and collaborate with internal legal counsel on negotiations and revisions.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle from drafting and execution to amendments, renewals, and expirations.
• Create, track, and manage purchase orders in systems such as SAP/Ariba.
• Assist in vendor onboarding and ensure all legal and compliance documentation is current.
• Serve as a key liaison between legal, procurement, HR, business stakeholders, and external agencies to resolve issues.
• Track and report on vendor spend, utilization, and performance against contractual obligations.
• Prepare contract summaries for business stakeholders, highlighting key obligations.
• Reconcile vendor account statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Identify and implement tools to improve HR administration efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in contract administration, vendor management, and procurement operations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with contract management or procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Legal Tracker).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
