As a Housing Navigator , you’ll play a vital role in our Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, which helps address the homelessness crisis among Veteran families. This position provides enhanced housing navigation services embedded within the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) program. As part of our multidisciplinary Veteran Services team, you will focus on engaging, managing, and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and property management companies to expand housing opportunities for veterans co-enrolled in SSVF and HUD-VASH. The Housing Navigator will conduct landlord outreach and engagement to develop a broad network of permanent housing options and will provide ongoing customer service and mediation support to promote long-term tenancies and successful partnerships between VOAMASS, property partners, and the veterans we serve.
This position also employs a variety of evidence-based interventions —including Motivational Interviewing, Housing First, Rapid Rehousing, Harm Reduction, and Trauma-Informed Care —to ensure services are client-centered and responsive to the unique needs of each veteran
