Job Description

Full Stack Software Engineer

AI & Talent Technology

San Francisco, CA (On-site)

$170,000 – $190,000 + Equity

The Company

We’re working with an early-stage startup in San Francisco building the next generation of AI-powered recruiting technology. The platform combines advanced data science with a curated professional network to help high-growth companies hire smarter, faster, and more efficiently.

Backed by top investors and founded by experienced operators, the team is scaling quickly as they reimagine how teams are formed — creating software that streamlines the hiring process from search to offer.

The Role

We’re hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to play a key role in designing and delivering the core platform. You’ll build tools and features that sit at the intersection of product and engineering — everything from candidate-matching algorithms to internal automation and recruiter-facing workflows.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, ship iteratively, and own initiatives end-to-end in a product-driven environment. This position offers a strong runway for growth into technical leadership or product-focused paths as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain full-stack features powering recruiter and hiring workflows
  • Develop high-performance APIs, services, and data models
  • Implement intuitive, responsive frontends that deliver exceptional UX
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Ops to define requirements and roadmap
  • Create internal tools and automations that improve team efficiency
  • Integrate with third-party systems and external platforms
  • Contribute to technical architecture and code quality standards

Skills & Experience

  • 3–7 years of full-stack engineering experience in product-oriented environments
  • Deep understanding of both backend systems and modern frontend frameworks
  • Product-oriented mindset with strong user empathy and design sensibility
  • Experience taking projects from concept to production in fast-paced teams
  • Collaborative communicator who thrives in startup environments
  • Proficiency with Node.js, Python, React, TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud deployment tools (e.g. Vercel, AWS)

The Benefits

  • $170,000 – $190,000 base + equity (competitive standard grant)
  • On-site collaboration at the San Francisco HQ
  • Direct ownership and high visibility in a growing company
  • Opportunity to shape product direction and engineering culture
