Job Description
Our client, a large national law firm, is hiring an eDiscovery Analyst to join their team. This is an ideal role for an early-career professional with foundational experience in Relativity and a desire to deepen their technical skills in data processing, productions, and litigation support workflows. The analyst will focus on behind-the-scenes execution of critical eDiscovery tasks, such as workspace setup, productions, processing and more. This position offers the opportunity to build expertise in defensible eDiscovery practices while contributing to a collaborative, tech-forward legal environment. This is a remote position, however candidates must be located in a state our client has an office.
Key Responsibilities
eDiscovery & Data Support- Execute discrete eDiscovery tasks as assigned by an eDiscovery Specialist or Coordinator, including:
- Workspace setup using firm-approved templates
- Data ingestion and processing based on predefined settings
- Importing incoming productions
- Exporting data using approved saved searches
- Basic permissions setup
- Perform document production tasks following established workflows and supervision
- Conduct basic QC checks using documented checklists and escalate issues as needed
Data Handling & Quality Control- Validate data integrity (file counts, metadata presence, load success) according to documented procedures
- Assist with chain of custody documentation and data tracking
- Support secure data transfers via approved platforms following firm protocols
- Help manage incoming productions and coordinate follow-up with team members
- Identify potential issues (missing files, errors, inconsistencies) and escalate promptly
Litigation Support Assistance- Assist with organizing data for review, depositions, and trial preparation as directed
- Support transcript handling, basic organization, and file preparation tasks
- Use PowerPDF for document manipulation (combining, bookmarking, splitting) when requested
Team Collaboration & Communication- Provide task-level status updates to the assigning Specialist or Coordinator
- Document work performed and follow naming, foldering, and documentation standards
- Coordinate internally with team members for communications with external vendors or attorneys/case teams
Administrative & Operational Responsibilities- Accurately record billable time per task and matter
- Manage assigned work across multiple matters with guidance on prioritization
- Adhere to confidentiality, data security, and professionalism standards
- Assist with departmental initiatives and other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience- Some experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or legal technology
- Exposure to RelativityOne or similar eDiscovery platforms
- Understanding of basic eDiscovery concepts and the litigation lifecycle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic Excel competency
- Familiarity with PDF tools (PowerPDF)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable communication and willingness to escalate questions or issues
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications- Prior experience supporting document review or productions
- Experience supporting phone or mobile device collections
- Exposure to processing workflows or data QC tasks
- Experience working with secure data transfers (FTP platforms)
- Interest in developing deeper technical expertise in Relativity and litigation technology
Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $90,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
