We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Infrastructure & Municipal Services to lead and manage the operations of a comprehensive public works department. This senior leadership role involves oversight of critical municipal functions including water and wastewater systems, solid waste, roads, streets, stormwater drainage, and capital planning.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the strategic planning, budgeting, and operations of municipal utility and public works divisions
• Evaluate the adequacy of current infrastructure and services; develop long- and short-term maintenance and capital improvement plans
• Lead a team of department managers and staff to achieve organizational goals
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to executive leadership and elected officials
• Review and authorize specifications, bidding, and permitting for major infrastructure projects
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, vendors, regulatory bodies, and the community
• Respond to citizen concerns and oversee resolution of public works issues
• Serve as a liaison during emergency management situations and coordinate mutual aid

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 4 years’ progressive supervisory experience in Public Works and/or Utilities
• In-depth knowledge of municipal water/wastewater systems, road/storm water infrastructure, and solid waste management
• Expertise in budgeting, public sector management, and regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership, organizational, and public speaking skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

Preferred Certifications:

• Dual licenses in Water and Wastewater (preferred)
• Class "C" Stormwater Operator License
• Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification
• NIMS (National Incident Management System) certification
• Trench Safety certified
