A well-known consumer services business is recruiting a Corporate Controller role, responsible for Financial Reporting and Accounting. They are seeking additional senior resource to lead the team reporting to the CEO. You will oversee all month end reporting, ensure a timely and accurate delivery of high-quality financial results and external reporting. You will deliver effective financial systems and work with other teams and external advisors on a range of projects.
Your key objective will be the transformation, automation, and improvement of the month end process to ensure quicker, more efficient monthly reporting, alongside a deeper and more timely understanding of results. Working with colleagues, you will strive to continually automate and improve existing finance systems and data across the business. Your aim will be to achieve improved and scalable reporting, stronger controls, and more timely and insightful results. You will need to work effectively with colleagues across the business and successfully manage relationships internally and with external stakeholders. You will work closely with colleagues in Strategy, FP&A, Business Partnering and other finance teams to provide them with accurate, timely and meaningful financial information.
The successful candidate will have an accounting background with relevant experience and strong leadership skills who is able to manage and develop a high performing team effectively. You will demonstrate the ability to deliver key improvements to the month end and other financial reporting processes, in a large multi-jurisdictional business. Naturally, you will possess a strong understanding of financial accounting, external reporting and other technical issues found in a services company. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly.
This role will require you to work with all levels and alongside the CFO. Therefore, you will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work on multiple priorities. You will clearly demonstrate the ability to build relationships and communicate at a very senior level across multiple departments and functions.
