Job Description

Construction Foreman

Location: Southern Wisconsin (Based Regionally; Travel Required)

Our Client, a full-service commercial and industrial general contractor recognized among the 2024 Best Places to Work and Future 50 Award Winners , is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead field operations for new commercial builds across Wisconsin and the Midwest. This is an opportunity to join a growing, employee-owned organization where craftsmanship, accountability, and teamwork drive every project—from national franchise developments to high-visibility community builds.

As Construction Foreman, you’ll take ownership of daily site execution, coordinating subcontractors, crews, and suppliers to deliver projects safely, on time, and to exacting quality standards. This position requires a carpenter by trade —a working leader who brings deep hands-on expertise in rough and finish carpentry, the ability to self-perform critical tasks, and the judgment to guide others in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee on-site construction activities from start to completion, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor construction crews and subcontractors while maintaining productivity and high craftsmanship standards.
  • Coordinate directly with project management, procurement, and suppliers to align material deliveries and resource needs.
  • Interpret and implement blueprints and specifications to ensure construction meets architectural and civil design intent.
  • Self-perform and lead carpentry work as required by project scope.
  • Manage site inspections, permitting, and coordination with local jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Address client inquiries and field challenges with professionalism and urgency.
  • Uphold company standards for quality control and continuous improvement on every jobsite.

Qualifications

  • Must be a carpenter by trade with demonstrated hands-on skill in rough and finish carpentry.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.
  • Experience leading field crews or subcontractors on ground-up or renovation projects.
  • Must own and use personal carpentry tools.
  • OSHA 30 or similar safety certification preferred.
  • Must reside in southeastern Wisconsin or southern Wisconsin
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly pay: $33–$45+ per hour for local projects (equivalent to approximately $70,000–$92,000 annually).
  • Travel compensation: $250/day minimum per diem (non-taxable) plus company-paid lodging for road projects.
  • Profit Sharing
  • Performance Bonuses
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement.

Why Join

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to work within a values-driven, employee-owned company that takes pride in craftsmanship, community, and continuous growth. With more than 30 new commercial builds slated for 2026, including long-term franchise partnerships, our client offers stability, challenge, and the opportunity to build your legacy with a team that invests in its people.
