We are currently initiating a search for a senior to mid-level engineer to help grow our solid waste practice in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. The Opportunity

Integrity is seeking a Mid-level to Senior Environmental or Civil Engineer/Solid Waste Consultant for our Richmond, VA Office. The selected candidate will help manage and lead projects in the solid waste sector involving landfill gas system design; permitting and compliance; operations, maintenance, and monitoring; renewable natural gas; solid waste and gas system construction; and construction quality assurance. Periodic travel is required based on project demands.

Responsibilities

• Managing large solid waste projects in the Mid-Atlantic
• Managing, mentoring and supervising project teams
• Develop and prepare proposals, schedules, and budgets
• Understand and implement local, state and federal rules and regulations throughout all project work
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Coordinate tasks and scheduling effectively
• Coordinate with vendors and sub-consultants
• Preparing design plans and specifications, reports, data analysis, and compliance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
• PE registration in VA & NC
• 10 years plus experience specific to landfills and/or solid waste industry.
• Experience in the practice of engineering design
• Experience in any of the following areas of practice; design and construction quality assurance for solid waste containment and/or landfill gas collection systems
• Preparing permitting documents for solid waste facilities, landfill gas compliance and management, preparing fill sequence and master plans for solid waste facilities (experience in more than one area preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
• Ability to work both independently and within groups
• Excellent work history with leadership abilities and a positive attitude
• Candidate must interact well with the public and clients and have excellent teamwork skills
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records checks
